BUILDING COMMUNITY

The most powerful thing your company can build is not a product.

It is a community.

Community is what makes people stay. Come back. Tell everyone they know.

A community is not a Slack channel. It is not an annual retreat.

Real community is what happens when people who share something in common are given the space and the genuine reason to connect.

It is the employee who stays twelve years because of the people, not the paycheck. The guest who books every year because she knows she will see her people again. The customer who refers you without being asked, because your brand made her feel like she belonged somewhere real.

That is what community does for a business. And it is almost impossible to manufacture.

You have to build it from something true.

That is exactly what we do.

“Thank you so, so much for creating Monday Night Dinners. The first time I came here, I was all alone. I had so many losses in life and I was the only person left… I thought ‘What could go wrong if I went to a Monday Night Dinner to try them out?’ And it ended up being the best decision I have ever made. You have created such a profound sense of community and helped me to feel and recognize that none of us are alone. We are all part of a bigger world together. I am eternally grateful to be a part of this community and for your welcoming presence. Looking forward to many, many more years of this going forward!”

We start with the stories.

Every community is made of individuals with lives and histories and things that matter deeply to them. We take the time to find those stories, bring them to light, and then put people together with those stories as the foundation.

We have done this with employees. With guests. With strangers who had nothing in common except the fact that they showed up at the same place on the same night.

It works every time. Because human connection is not a corporate initiative.

It is just what happens when someone creates the right space for it.

“I found love here when I was so afraid to live. Thank you for that.”

BRINGING HUMANS TOGETHER.

ONE STRANGER AT A TIME.

“Thank you so much for bringing Monday Night Dinners together. I’m an introvert and struggle with being social and making friends so I love the atmosphere and the ability to chat with new people here. It helps me to overcome my social anxiety. Thank you for all you do!”

“Such an amazing thing you have started and continue to do for these last 6 years. I am glad I found out about them this summer and have been able to attend a few! You seem like someone with a kind heart and soul - We really need more of your kind in this world. Keep on, keeping on!”

We did not learn this in a boardroom.

We started with a backyard table and total strangers. No pitch deck. No agenda except to share a meal and actually talk to each other.

Thousands and thousands of people have come since. 21 countries. People who came as strangers and left as such close friends.

That is the foundation of everything we bring to your brand.

“The community you create is a beautiful, valuable and necessary one in a society that many times forgets to be kind, forgets to forgive and forgets to love. Thank you Monday Night Dinners for letting us remember what it means to be neighbors and to truly build the community we’ve lost. We haven’t completely lost it. This beautiful gift of togetherness is proof of that.

“As I sit here at this picnic table of close friends, under a string of lights, music and familiar voices echoing in the background. I an reminded of how blessed I am to be conversing and mingling amongst such wonderful individuals.”
